DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

The Santa Marta Hall of Residence, developed for the Ca’ Foscari University, is composed of three historic buildings – the “Cube”, the “Parallelepiped” and the South Building – which together will accommodate 650 students. The accommodation structure will be supported by a series of facilities and shared areas with prestigious finishings. The rooms, double and single, will be furnished with every comfort, including a study corner and kitchen. The supply of renewable energy will be guaranteed by a photovoltaic system and by 12 solar thermal panels.

This hall of residence is an historically important contribution, not only because it doubles the available student accommodation, but also because it regenerates an area of Venice. Generations and generations of students will be passing though these spaces which we are constructing today. It’s a symbol of hope for the future.
