\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn a year marked from both a social and economic point of view by the Covid-19 pandemic, which caused a total block of most construction sites and activities for three months, <\/span>
\n

CMB closed FY 2020 with a <\/span>turnover of almost \u20ac 570 million, \u20ac 70 million of which realized abroad<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n, balancing the books\u00a0and keeping important financial, equity and business objectives within its sights. Financial indebtedness was reduced, continuing the downward trend in evidence for eight years now, and new bank loans were taken out totaling \u20ac 136 million, assisted by SACE government guarantees that contribute to further extending the duration of financing sources. From a commercial point of view, new contracts were signed for works and services in Italy and abroad for around \u20ac 500 million, which has allowed the company to maintain a significant order portfolio, amounting to around \u20ac 3 billion. \u201cFrom a strategic point of view\u201d, commented Chairman Carlo Zini, 2020 was characterized by around 15-20% of our total turnover being accounted for by turnover realized abroad, and the reinforcement of our equity and financial structure<\/b> in order to support the significant growth that will bring CMB\u2019s turnover to over \u20ac 730 million in 2023, with a leap forward of \u20ac 100 million already in 2021. The Group\u2019s decision to diversify its activities in the Area of facility management, heat management and energy efficiency proved to be a winning choice, and played an essential role in containing the drop in revenue caused by the months in lockdown\u201d.<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2020, the volumes of production and productivity in the Construction sector, traditionally CMB\u2019s core business, were affected by the block on works and activities<\/b>,<\/span> which led to results that fell below forecasts, with a change of trend already evident towards the end of the year, <\/span>while the Projects and Services sector recorded a rise in production and profits<\/b>, thanks to the ceaseless work carried out, in particular in health facilities, even during the most critical months of the pandemic. <\/span>Renewed vigor was also evident in real estate sales<\/b>, especially in the Milan area, which exceeded targets, turning around a negative trend that had been ongoing for some years.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The last few days saw official confirmation of the important <\/span>acquisition of the contract to build the third lane of the Florence<\/b> South \u2013 Incisa stretch of the A1 motorway<\/b>, for Autostrade per l’Italia: a major work worth around \u20ac 300 million, in which the Group will once again be working with Autostrade, following its previous experience with the Variante di Valico diversion.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
