CityLife Shopping Center opens its doors
While the Torre Hadid is practically finished and only the internal finishings on the top floors are still to be completed, at its feet the CityLife Shopping Center, designed by Zaha Hadid, is already pulsating with life.
The shopping center is on three floors and holds seven cinemas and 17 restaurants
in a futuristic-style maxi-structure. Slanted lines, twists and rotations characterize the style of the Iraqi star architect who died last year.

With around one hundred shops, including fashion, accessories, cosmetics and technology stores, arranged on a surface area of 32 thousand square meters, the CityLife Shopping District is set to become the largest shopping center in Italy, ready to welcome seven million visitors in a single venue, with a distinctive commercial offer and leisure attractions. Despite the opening, CMB is continuing with the finishing touches to the Torre Hadid, which will house the Milan branch of Generali, and with a building site for the construction of the Libeskind skyscraper.
