ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Energy efficiency and the ecological footprint of buildings is certified with LEED (The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
CMB is able to implement the final design of the buildings and manage the building site in full compliance with the parameters established for the certification.
LEED, buildings evaluated for their sustainability
The standard, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), makes it possible to attribute credits to every work developed on the basis of a series of pre-established pre-requisites: the design and its location, energy and water saving, CO2 emissions, the materials and resources used, and the ecological quality of the interiors. The level of certification, “Basic” or “Platinum” depends on the sum of the LEED credits obtained.

The Unipol Tower in Bologna was the first LEED certified building constructed by CMB. The design, building site, works and subsequent management of the structure have been carried out according to the principle of sustainability”.

The advantages of the ecology applied to the constructions
The wellbeing of people and environmental issues are an increasingly important aspect of constructing for the future. This is true also when designing or restoring a building. The LEED system, therefore, measures the environmental, health, economic and social impact of each building or infrastructure. This shared model, recognized at international level, describes the quality of the work and represents an important added value for CMB, already a leader in projects to limit environmental pollution such as “SUCCESS”.
