Inspection with a drone, before the renovation
A flight was made into a storeroom to verify the condition of the old curtain.
Using a drone, CMB photographed the conditions of the curtain before starting the renovation work. In this way it was possible to carry out a photographic restoration of the curtain, which was laid out on 29 April 2016.
96 zenith photographs with a resolution of 9 Megapixels were taken for this exercise, analysed with a special software for producing a final image. This procedure made it possible to create an orthophoto of the whole, that is, a geometrically corrected and georeferenced aerial photograph in order to obtain a uniform scale, just like a geographical map.
After this fundamental passage, the restoration work on the curtain was then started by specialised companies.
