Denmark: CMB is awarded the hospital of Kogee
CMB, in a joint venture with Itinera, a company specializing in large-scale works in the Gavio group, has been awarded the project for the extension and reconstruction of the university hospital complex of the city of Koge,
situated south of Copenhagen, in Denmark. The value of the project is around 295 million euros.
With an Early Contract Involvement (ECI), the development and design optimization of the project are to be carried out jointly with the client’s technical structure. Promoted by “Denmark, Region Zealand”, the current hospital structure will be extended and restructured, taking it from a surface area of around 64 thousand sq.m. and 296 beds to an overall surface area of 185 thousand sq.m. and 789 beds.
The final objective, with the planned conclusion of the works in 2024, is to transfer all the treatment, first aid/emergency and research departments in the Zealand region to the new structure, which will take the name of Zealand University Hospital.
With this award, CMB and Itinera reinforce their presence, specifically in the hospital sector, in Denmark, a country in which they are currently involved in the design and construction of two lots of the new hospital of the city of Odense for the value of 390 million euros.
