The shopping centre recovers an abandoned area
Building a shopping centre is always a race against time, because the designs change as market requirements change. In Brescia, CMB has built the Nuovo Flaminia maxi shopping centre for Coop Lombardia on a surface area of 27 thousand square metres. The work involved the recovery of a long-abandoned area between via Dalmazia and Via Salgari, to the south of the city, where the General Warehouses once used to be. The project reinforces the partnership with Coop Lombardia for which the Carpi cooperative has completed several shopping centres.

Technical Description
The Nuovo Flaminia, besides a Coop hypermarket extending over 7 thousand square metres, includes
18 shops, a food court on the first floor with independent access, offices and business areas, as well as a large underground car park
with 850 car spaces. The finished project combines practicality and attractiveness, with careful design of the lighting, from the façade to the central gallery which, with a system of skylights, recreates the effect of a starlit sky.

“Building a shopping centre means having to follow continually evolving market requirements. You learn to be always ready and flexible, in order to tackle a problem even when the train is in motion, and turn the problem into an opportunity.”
