CityLife Shopping Center opens its doors

While the Torre Hadid is practically finished and only the internal finishings on the top floors are still to be completed, at its feet the CityLife Shopping Center, designed by Zaha Hadid, is already pulsating with life. The shopping center is on three floors and holds seven cinemas and 17 restaurants in a futuristic-style maxi-structure. Slanted lines, twists and rotations characterize the style of the Iraqi star architect who died last year.

The building site closes, FICO opens!

There was great expectation and the last weeks of work were intense, but Fico Eatalyworld finally opened its doors on 15 November. The largest Italian agri-food theme park in the world, built by CMB for Prelios SGR, was inaugurated in Bologna with a ceremony attended by the Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni.

“Rinascente” returns to Rome with CMB

Rinascente’s new flagship store in Roma was opened on 12 October in via del Tritone. CMB has been responsible for the restoration of the historic building situated between via del Tritone and via dei Due Macelli. The work has involved the total demolition of the existing buildings while preserving the facades, which were, instead renovated.

Tramway, Line 3: opening of the Strozzi-Strozzi underpass in Firenze

On 1st June the “Strozzi-Strozzi” vehicular underpass was opened, the second important work of art developed by CMB as part of the project for the construction of line 3 of the Florence tramway. The line touches one of the most delicate traffic junctions of the city, Fortezza da Basso.
